    To reach the Shedd Aquarium from anywhere in Oak Lawn, start by locating the nearest Metra train station, which is the Oak Lawn Station. Board the SouthWest Service train towards Chicago Union Station. After approximately 30 minutes, you will arrive at the Union Station. From Union Station, follow the signs to the 'Ogilvie Transportation Center' and exit onto Canal Street. Walk a short distance to the 'Washington/Wells' CTA station and take the 'Orange' line train towards Midway. Get off at the 'State/Lake' station. Transfer to the 'Red' line train going towards Howard and get off at the 'Cermak-Chinatown' station. Here, transfer to the #62 bus towards 'Archer & Kedzie' and get off at the 'Museum Campus/Shedd Aquarium' stop. The aquarium will be directly ahead.

    If you are staying near the Oak Lawn Metra Station and want to walk, head north on Cicero Avenue toward 95th Street. Turn left on 95th Street and walk until you reach the 95th Street station. From there, take the 'Orange' line train towards Midway. Get off at the 'State/Lake' station, then switch to the 'Red' line train towards Howard and get off at 'Cermak-Chinatown.' From there, you can walk to the Shedd Aquarium by heading east on 18th Street until you reach the lakefront, then walk north along the lake until you reach the aquarium.

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from various bike-sharing stations around Oak Lawn. Start at the Oak Lawn Village Hall and head north on Cicero Avenue. Once you reach 95th Street, turn left and follow the road to the 95th Street station. From there, use the bike lanes on Archer Avenue towards the Museum Campus area. Follow the signs for the lakefront bike path, which will lead you directly to the Shedd Aquarium.
