If you're driving from River Bend, start by heading northwest on IL-2 N. Continue on IL-2 N for about 10 miles until you reach the intersection with IL-71 E in Oglesby. Turn left onto IL-71 E and follow it for approximately 2 miles. Look for signs directing you to Starved Rock State Park, which will be on your right. The park's address is Oglesby, IL 61348, and there are no entrance fees for the park itself.
Public Transportation
To reach Starved Rock State Park using public transportation from River Bend, first take a local bus or rideshare service to the nearest train station, which may be in a neighboring town. From there, take an Amtrak train to LaSalle, IL. After arriving in LaSalle, you can use a rideshare service or a taxi to reach the park, which is about 10 miles away. Be sure to check the train schedules in advance, as they may vary.
Bike
For the adventurous, biking to Starved Rock State Park is an option if you're up for a challenge. Start from River Bend and take IL-2 N. Continue to follow the road toward Oglesby.
