Carlyle Brewing Co.: Rockford's Original Brewpub

Located in the heart of downtown Rockford at 215 E State St, Carlyle Brewing Co. offers a rotating selection of ten to twelve ales and lagers on tap, chosen from over 30 styles brewed on-site throughout the year. The brewery is now owned by Joe and Anne D'Astice who took over in 2023. They have kept many of the original brews while adding a few of their own. Popular choices include the Vanilla Cream Ale, Humulus Lupulus IPA, and American Stout. For those who want to sample a variety, a sampler tray of current beers is available. In addition to beer, Carlyle Brewing Co. offers a menu of pub-style food, including sandwiches, bratwurst, and hot pretzels. They also make their own root beer.The brewpub's interior features a warm and inviting decor, with brick walls and dark wood accents that create a cozy, pub-like ambiance.
