From the parking lot, follow the marked trail leading to Illinois Canyon.

From the Starved Rock Visitor Center, follow the trail system east towards Ottawa and Kaskaskia Canyons. Continue past those canyons until you reach Illinois Canyon, the easternmost canyon in the park. The walk is approximately 3 miles and will take you through varied terrain.
