The Genesee Theatre is easily accessible via public transportation. From the Waukegan Metra station (Union Pacific/North Line), it's approximately a 9-minute walk. Upon exiting the station, head north on Spring Street, then turn right onto Washington Street. Continue east to Genesee Street, then turn left. The theater will be on your right. A one-way Metra fare from Chicago to Waukegan costs between $3-$8. Pace Transit also provides daily bus service to downtown Waukegan. Check Pacebus for schedules and pricing.

From downtown Waukegan, the Genesee Theatre is easily walkable. If you're near the Waukegan City Hall, head north on Genesee Street. The theater is located on the northeast corner of Genesee and Clayton Streets. The walk is generally flat and takes only a few minutes.

If driving, approach Waukegan via I-94 and exit onto IL-132 E/Grand Avenue heading east. Turn right onto North Genesee Street. The theater will be on your left, at the corner of Genesee and Clayton Streets. Street parking is available on Genesee Street and is free after 5:00 PM; before 5:00 PM, metered parking costs $0.50 per hour. Covered garage parking is available at Waukegan Lot C at 225 N County St for $10. Valet parking is often available for events, approaching from the east on Sheridan Road, for $15.
