From Joshimath, you have two options to reach Auli: the Auli Ropeway or a local taxi. The Auli Ropeway (Gondola) is a scenic 4 km cable car ride from Joshimath to Auli. A round trip costs approximately ₹1000 per person. The ropeway operates from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Alternatively, hire a local taxi from Joshimath to Auli, which costs around ₹500-₹800. Note: Bus fares from Rishikesh to Joshimath typically range from ₹300-₹500. Shared taxis may cost slightly more.

    If arriving at Jolly Grant Airport (Dehradun), hire a taxi directly to Auli. The distance is approximately 280 km, and the journey takes around 9-10 hours. Taxis from Dehradun to Auli can cost between ₹5,000 to ₹8,000 depending on the vehicle type and season. It is advisable to negotiate the fare beforehand. Alternatively, take a taxi to Joshimath (approx. ₹4,000-₹6,000) and then use the ropeway or hire another taxi to Auli. Note: Taxi fares are subject to change based on demand and availability.
