From Joshimath, shared jeeps are the most common way to reach Auli. These are readily available and take around 30 minutes to cover the 12-13 km distance. Expect to pay around ₹150 per person.

Taxis can be hired from Joshimath to Foot Step to Auli. The fare typically ranges from ₹400 to ₹600 for a one-way trip. Confirm the fare before starting your journey.
Ropeway
The Auli Ropeway, also known as Gondola, connects Joshimath to Auli. The lower terminal is located in Joshimath. A round trip ticket costs ₹1000 per person. The ropeway operates from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but it's best to arrive early, as tickets are sold at the counter and queues can be long.
Walking
If you are already in Auli, you can walk to Foot Step to Auli. From the Auli cable car station, head down Auli Rd towards Joshimath. The walk is about 1.5 km and should take around 20 minutes.
