Getting There

  • Ropeway

    From Joshimath, the most convenient way to reach Auli is via the Joshimath-Auli Ropeway. The ropeway is about 4.15 km long and the ride takes approximately 25 minutes. Purchase tickets at the Joshimath Ropeway Station. The round trip fare is ₹1000 per person. The ropeway operates between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, but timings may vary depending on the season.

    Alternatively, you can hire a shared jeep from Joshimath to Auli, which is a 12-13 km journey. These are readily available and take about 30 minutes. Expect to pay around ₹150 per person for a shared jeep. Private taxis are also available, costing around ₹800.
