Getting There

    The closest you can get to the Valley of Flowers by road is Govindghat. From major hubs like Haridwar or Rishikesh, hire a taxi or take a bus to Govindghat. The journey takes approximately 10-12 hours and costs between ₹600-₹900 by bus. Taxis are more expensive. From Govindghat, begin the 14 km trek to Ghangaria.

  • Trek

    From Govindghat, the trek to Ghangaria is 14 km. Porters or mules can be hired to carry luggage for approximately Rs 1,000–Rs 1,500. Helicopter service is also available from Govindghat to Ghangaria for around Rs 3,500 per person. From Ghangaria, it is a further 3 km trek to the Valley of Flowers entrance. Entry fees are INR 200 for Indians and INR 800 for foreigners.
