Getting There

• Public Bus

  To reach Nandi Hills Checkpoint using public transport, start at the Kempegowda Bus Station in Bengaluru. Look for buses heading towards Nandi Hills or Chikkaballapur. The buses to Nandi Hills may not run frequently, so check the schedule in advance. Once you board the bus, enjoy the scenic ride. The bus will take you close to Nandi Hills. You need to get off at the nearest stop to Nandi Hills and ask locals for directions to the Checkpoint, which is approximately 5 km from the bus stop.

• Metro and Auto Rickshaw

  Begin your journey at any metro station in Bengaluru and take the Namma Metro to the Kempegowda Indiranagar Station. From there, exit the station and take an auto-rickshaw towards Nandi Hills. The rickshaw will take approximately 1 hour to reach the Nandi Hills area. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand or use a ride-hailing app to avoid confusion. The auto-rickshaw will drop you off at the entrance, from where you can walk to the Nandi Hills Checkpoint.

• Bicycle Rental

  For the adventurous tourist, consider renting a bicycle. Start from the heart of Bengaluru and head towards the Nandi Hills area. You can rent a bicycle from local shops in areas like MG Road or Indiranagar. The route is approximately 60 km and can take around 3-4 hours depending on your speed. Follow the route through scenic roads; however, ensure to have a GPS or map app for navigation. Once you reach Nandi Hills, you can park your bicycle at designated areas and walk to the Checkpoint.
