Look for the nearest BMTC bus stop and take the bus number 125 or 133, which goes towards Malleshwaram. Get down at the Malleshwaram 8th Cross stop. From there, walk straight on 8th Cross until you reach the junction with 15th Main. Take a left on 15th Main, and continue walking until you spot Sankey Tank on your right.
