Dhuandhar Falls, aptly named for the smoky mist it generates, is a breathtaking waterfall on the Narmada River in Bhedaghat, Jabalpur. The river narrows as it flows through the famed Marble Rocks, plunging 30 meters (98 feet) to create a stunning cascade. The force of the water hitting the rocks below produces a mist that rises like smoke, filling the air with a cool spray and a thunderous roar audible from a distance.The falls have a strong connection to the Narmada River, considered one of India's holiest rivers. Local legend says the goddess Narmada descended from heaven at this site.
