Kanha Tiger Reserve, situated in the Mandla and Balaghat districts of Madhya Pradesh, is one of India's most celebrated wildlife sanctuaries. The park is particularly known for its successful preservation of the barasingha, once on the brink of extinction, now flourishing as the 'jewel of Kanha'.Visitors can explore Kanha through jeep safaris, which are conducted in the mornings and afternoons across different zones, including Kisli, Mukki, Kanha, and Sarhi. Each zone offers unique landscapes and opportunities for wildlife sightings. The Kanha zone is considered a premium zone. The best time to visit is between October and June, with the most pleasant weather occurring between November and March.Kanha's commitment to conservation extends beyond its borders through the creation of corridors that support tigers and their prey.
