Taxi
From Jabalpur city center or Jabalpur Junction railway station, hire a taxi or auto-rickshaw to Dumna Nature Reserve. The reserve is approximately 8-10 km from the city center and near Jabalpur Airport. A taxi ride will take about 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Expect to pay around ₹200-₹400 for a one-way taxi ride. Once inside Dumna Nature Reserve, follow the internal roads towards Khandari Lake Waterfall. There is a nominal entry fee of ₹20 per person for the reserve. Parking for four-wheelers costs ₹60.
Public Transport
From Jabalpur bus stand, take a public bus towards Airport Road. Ask the conductor to drop you off near IIITDM, which is close to Dumna Nature Reserve. From there, it's about a 1 km walk to the reserve entrance. Bus fare is approximately ₹10-₹20. After entering Dumna Nature Reserve, proceed towards Khandari Lake Waterfall following the available trails. Remember to pay the entry fee of ₹20 per person.
Walking
From the entrance of Dumna Nature Reserve, the Khandari Lake Waterfall is accessible by trekking through the lush green forest. The trek is relatively easy and covers a distance of about 1-2 kilometers. Follow the marked trails and wear comfortable shoes. There are no additional costs involved besides the entry fee of ₹20 for the reserve.
