Getting There

Walking

If you're starting from the Darjeeling Mall, head southeast on Mall Road. After about 300 meters, you'll reach the junction at Chauk Bazaar. Keep walking straight, and you will see a series of shops and restaurants on your left. Continue on this route for approximately 500 meters until you reach the entrance of Mahakal Temple, which is located on a hill above the bazaar.
Walking from Darjeeling Railway Station

From the Darjeeling Railway Station, exit and turn right onto Hill Cart Road. Walk downhill for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Chowrasta. Turn left and head towards the Mall. Once you reach the Mall, follow the previous guidance from the Mall to Mahakal Temple.
Walking from Chowrasta

From Chowrasta, which is the main square of Darjeeling, take the path leading down towards Chauk Bazaar. As you walk down the hill, you will pass several shops and eateries. Continue towards the main street where Chauk Bazaar is located. Once you reach Chauk Bazaar, Mahakal Temple will be visible on the hill above. Ascend the steps leading up to the temple.
