Baba Baghel Singh Sikh Heritage Multimedia Museum: A Window to Sikh History

The Baba Baghel Singh Sikh Heritage Multimedia Museum, established in 2014 by Vikramjit Singh Sahney, is dedicated to educating present and future generations about Sikhism, its tenets, and ideals. Named after Baba Baghel Singh, a Sikh warrior who conquered Delhi in 1783, the museum is located within the serene Gurudwara Bangla Sahib. The museum features a collection of paintings, murals, and artifacts that narrate the history of Sikhism. Multimedia displays, including audio recordings in Hindi, Punjabi, and English, enhance the visitor experience. One notable painting depicts Mian Mir, a Sufi saint, laying the first stone of Sri Harmandir Sahib, symbolizing the Sikh gurus' belief in inclusivity. Another depicts Baba Baghel Singh capturing the Red Fort. The museum comprises four galleries and a small auditorium that screens short films on Sikh gurus and warriors. Visitors can witness Sikh principles in practice within the Gurudwara, where community meals (langar) are served to all, regardless of background. The museum also provides books on Sikh history in multiple languages. The museum is wheelchair accessible and provides free amenities such as 3D glasses and headphones.
