To reach Kodanad View Point via public transport, take a bus from Coimbatore to Kotagiri. Buses are frequent and take approximately 2 hours. From Kotagiri, hire a taxi or auto-rickshaw to Kodanad View Point, about 18 km away. Auto-rickshaws may charge ₹300-₹500, while taxis may cost more depending on negotiation. There is no direct bus to Kodanad View Point from Ooty, you need to take a bus to Kotagiri first and then another bus to Kodanad.
Car
If driving from Coimbatore, take NH181 towards Mettupalayam. Continue on NH181 past Mettupalayam, following signs to Kotagiri and then Kodanad. The final stretch involves winding roads, so drive carefully. The journey takes approximately 2-2.5 hours. Parking is available at the viewpoint. Expect to pay ₹30 for entry for adults and ₹10 for children.
