From Gangtok, hire a taxi or car to Lachung. The journey takes approximately 5-6 hours. Amitabh Bachchan Falls is located about 13 km before Lachung on the main road connecting Gangtok-Chungthang-Lachung. The falls are easily accessible by road. A private taxi from Gangtok to Lachung and back, including a visit to Yumthang Valley, may cost around ₹7,000 per day. Permits are mandatory for visiting North Sikkim and can be obtained in Gangtok by submitting ID proof, passport photos and copies of other documents.
