Walking
From MG Marg, head east towards the main road (N H Way). Continue walking until you reach the junction with N H Way. Turn left onto N H Way and walk straight for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will pass the Sikkim Tourism Office on your right. Keep walking until you see the Hospital Adara on your left. The Gangtok Clock Tower is located just in front of Hospital Adara. Walking is free.
Public Transport
Gangtok has a well-established network of local buses that connect different parts of the city. Look out for the bus stands or stops marked with color-coded routes. The buses usually run from early morning until late evening. Bus fares are affordable. Alternatively, shared taxis are a popular choice in Gangtok. These taxis, also known as "sumos," can be found at designated taxi stands throughout the city. The fare is predetermined based on the distance traveled.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available in Gangtok. You can hire a taxi from various taxi stands or through local tour operators. Taxis in Gangtok are not metered, so it's essential to negotiate the rates before starting your journey. A short taxi ride within the city may cost around ₹123 INR for 5km.
