Taxi/Ride-Share
From Gangtok city center (MG Marg), hire a taxi to Shanti Viewpoint. The ride is approximately 45 minutes, covering around 15-20 km. Taxis are readily available. Expect to pay around ₹800-₹1200 for a round trip, including waiting charges. Negotiate the fare beforehand.
Public Transport
Take a shared taxi from Gangtok towards Ranipool. The ride takes about 20 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you near Shanti Viewpoint. From there, it's approximately a 2-kilometer walk uphill to the viewpoint. Shared taxi fare is around ₹50 per person. Alternatively, SNT (Sikkim National Transport) buses ply on this route, with fares around ₹30.
Walking
If you are near Ranipool, you can walk to Shanti Viewpoint. From Ranipool, follow the Ranipool-Rumtek-Sang Road for approximately 2 kilometers until you see signs for Shanti Viewpoint. The walk is uphill and takes around 30-45 minutes. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes.
