Taxi

Taxis can be hired from Namchi town to reach Siddheshwar Dham. A round trip taxi fare will cost approximately INR 500-700. Confirm the price before starting your journey. The drive takes about 15-20 minutes.
Walking

For those inclined to walk, the distance from Namchi to Siddheshwar Dham is about 5 km. The walk is uphill and takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Follow the Namchi-Namthang Road. Ensure you are physically fit and carry water. This option is not recommended during the monsoon season.

Siddheshwar Dham, also known as Char Dham, is a sprawling temple complex located on top of Solophok Hill, about 5 km from Namchi in South Sikkim. This unique pilgrimage and cultural site offers visitors a chance to experience the essence of several holy places in one location. The complex is set against the backdrop of the Himalayas, enhancing its serene and spiritual atmosphere. The main attraction is the 108-foot-tall statue of Lord Shiva in a sitting posture, surrounded by replicas of the twelve Jyotirlingas, which are shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva. The complex also features models of the sacred Char Dham temples: Badrinath, Dwarka, Jagannath, and Rameshwaram. These replicas allow devotees to pay homage to these important pilgrimage sites without undertaking long journeys across India. In addition to the temples, Siddheshwar Dham features an 18-foot statue of Kirateshwar, a hunter incarnation of Lord Shiva, which is another key attraction. According to legend, Arjuna performed a tapasya (penance) on this hill to please Lord Shiva, who then gifted him the all-powerful Pashupata astra (weapon). The temple complex was built to commemorate Shiva's greatness in bestowing Arjuna with this divine weapon. Siddheshwar Dham is not only a religious site but also a major tourist attraction, offering panoramic views of the Himalayan range and surrounding valleys.
