Walking
If you are in the main market area of Gangtok (MG Road), head towards the direction of the Sikkim Tourism Office. From there, look for the Deorali Bus Station. Walk down the road from the bus station towards Deorali. After about 10 minutes of walking, you will reach Deorali Road. Continue walking straight; you will see the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology on your left side. It is located near M.P. Golai in Tadong, just look for the signboard.

From MG Road, walk to the nearest bus stop. Take a local bus heading towards Tadong. Ensure you inform the conductor that you want to get off at Namgyal Institute of Tibetology.
