Ferry
The primary access to Chorão Island is via ferry from Ribandar, approximately 5 km from Panaji. From Panaji, taxis and buses are readily available to Ribandar. The ferry ride itself is short, lasting about 15-20 minutes. Pedestrians and two-wheeler riders can board the ferry free of charge. Four-wheelers are charged a minimal fee of ₹10.
Public Transport
From Panaji Bus Station, take a local bus to Ribandar. The bus journey takes approximately 30 minutes. From Thivim Railway Station, which is about 25 kilometers from Panaji, you can take a local bus or hire a taxi to reach Panjim. The bus journey takes around 45 minutes and costs approximately ₹20-50. A taxi ride takes about 30-40 minutes and costs around ₹500-700.
