Public Transport

From Panaji, take a local bus towards Vasco da Gama or Margao. Get off at the Velsao bus stop, which is a short walk to the beach. Buses are frequent and cost approximately INR 10-50 depending on the distance. Alternatively, from Madgaon, a direct bus to Mudder will drop you close to Velsao Beach for INR 17-21.

Taxi

Taxis are readily available from Dabolim Airport, Vasco da Gama, and Margao. A taxi ride from Dabolim Airport to Velsao Beach typically costs around INR 440-650 and takes approximately 16 minutes. App-based taxis like Goa Miles, Uber, or OLA are also available. Negotiate the fare beforehand or ensure the meter is running.

Walking

If you are nearby, such as at Cansaulim Beach, you can easily walk to Velsao Beach along the coastline. The walk is scenic and takes about 15-20 minutes. Be sure to wear appropriate footwear and carry water.
