If you're already in Betalbatim, Gonsua Beach is easily accessible by foot. From the main village area, head towards the beach road, which is well-marked. The walk to the beach takes approximately 10-15 minutes. There are no costs involved.
Public Transport
From Margao, take a local bus towards Betalbatim. Buses regularly run from the Margao bus stand to Betalbatim Beach. The bus fare typically ranges from ₹20-₹30 (INR). Alight at the Betalbatim stop, from where Gonsua Beach is about a kilometer away. You can walk or hire an auto-rickshaw for the final stretch. Auto-rickshaw fare should be around ₹50-₹100 (INR).
Taxi/Auto-rickshaw
Taxis and auto-rickshaws are readily available from nearby towns like Margao, Colva, and Benaulim. A taxi from Margao to Betalbatim Beach typically costs around ₹200-₹300 (INR). Auto-rickshaws are a cheaper option, costing around ₹150-₹200 (INR). Negotiate the fare before starting your journey.
Car
If driving from Margao, head south on NH66 (National Highway 66) towards Betalbatim. After approximately 6 kilometers, take the exit towards Betalbatim Beach. Follow the signs to Gonsua Beach through local roads. Parking is available near the beach. Paid parking lots charge a nominal fee, while street parking is also available. Be mindful of local parking regulations to avoid fines.
