Old Goa: A UNESCO World Heritage Site

Old Goa, also known as Velha Goa, is a captivating historical site located on the southern banks of the Mandovi River. Founded in the 15th century by the Bijapur Sultanate, the city rose to prominence as the capital of Portuguese India, serving as a hub for the spice trade and Christian missionary activities.
