Girmal Waterfall, located near Girmal village and Saputara, is Gujarat's highest waterfall, cascading down more than 100 feet. Situated within the Purna Wildlife Sanctuary in the Dang district, it's a prime destination for nature lovers and those seeking a refreshing retreat.The waterfall is formed by the Girmal River, which crashes down from a significant height, creating a fog-like atmosphere where rainbows are often visible. The surrounding dense forests add to the picturesque beauty, making it particularly stunning during the monsoon season (July to December). During the summer months, the falls may dry up.The Forest Department has developed viewpoints and paved pathways for visitors to safely enjoy the falls. En route to Girmal, near Gavdahad village, the Gira River takes a complete U-turn, offering a unique vantage point developed by the Forest Department. An Eco-Development Committee (EDC) runs the 'U-turn Restaurant' and Girli Lodges, providing food and accommodation.Other attractions in the area include the Purna Wildlife Sanctuary, Waghai Botanical Garden, and Saputara Hill Station.
