A Qutb Shahi Reservoir

Hussain Sagar was constructed in 1562 during the Qutb Shahi period, when Hyderabad was developing as a major centre south of the Musi River. The reservoir is traditionally associated with Hussain Shah Wali, whose name it bears, and was created to support the water needs of the settlement.
