If you are driving, start from Kochi. Take NH66 towards Alappuzha. After approximately 40 km, take the exit towards Kumarakom. Follow the signs to Kumarakom Beach and then towards Vembanad Lake. The Thanneermukkom Bund is located near Vembanad Lake. The journey will take around 1.5 hours depending on traffic. Keep an eye out for local signboards.

From Kochi, you can take a public bus to Alappuzha (Alleppey). Buses run frequently and the fare is about ₹100-₹150. Upon reaching Alappuzha, change to a local bus heading to Kumarakom. The fare for this leg will be around ₹30-₹50. Once in Kumarakom, you can hire an auto-rickshaw to take you to Thanneermukkom Bund, which should cost around ₹100-₹150.
