If you are traveling by car, take the NH 766 highway towards Kalpetta. From Kalpetta, continue on the road for about 12 kilometers until you reach the Edakkal Caves signboard. Turn left and follow the road for about 2 kilometers until you arrive at the parking area for Edakkal Caves. Note that there is a parking fee of around ₹30. From the parking area, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 kilometers uphill to reach the caves.
Public Transportation (Bus)
For public transportation, you can take a bus from major towns like Wayanad or Kalpetta to Nenmeni. Once you reach Nenmeni, you can hire a local auto-rickshaw or taxi to take you to the Edakkal Caves parking area. The auto-rickshaw fare is approximately ₹100-₹150. From the parking area, it is a 1.5-kilometer uphill walk to the caves.
