Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Kochi. Take NH 544 and drive towards Angamaly. From Angamaly, continue on NH 544 and take the exit towards Kothamangalam. Once you reach Kothamangalam, follow the signs to Mamalakandam. The waterfall is located approximately 10 kilometers from Kothamangalam. Use GPS coordinates (10.0959104, 76.8129181) for precise navigation to reach the waterfall parking area.
Public Transportation
From Kochi, board a bus to Kothamangalam. The journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once in Kothamangalam, you can hire a local auto-rickshaw to take you to Urulikuzhi Waterfalls. It is approximately a 20-minute ride from Kothamangalam to the waterfalls. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey, which should be around ₹300-₹500 (approximately).
Walking
Once you arrive at the parking area near Urulikuzhi Waterfalls, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the falls themselves. The path is generally well-marked, but be prepared for a slightly uphill trek. Wear comfortable footwear and carry water along with you. The walk should take around 10-15 minutes.
