From Fort Kochi, head to the nearest bus stop, which is at the Fort Kochi Jetty. Take the bus number 56 or 57 towards Vaikom. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Get off at the Vaikom bus station. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to the Vaikom Mahadeva Temple. Exit the bus and head east on Vaikom Road, then turn left onto the road leading to the temple.

Start at Fort Kochi and take a ferry from the Fort Kochi Jetty to the Ernakulam Jetty. Once you arrive, head to the Ernakulam South Railway Station and catch a train to Vaikom. The train journey takes around 30 minutes. After arriving at Vaikom station, exit and walk south along Vaikom Road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the temple.
