To reach Hanle River from Leh, start by driving southeast on NH 1D. The journey is approximately 240 kilometers and takes around 6-7 hours. Along the way, you'll pass through the towns of Upshi and Mahe. Ensure that you have a sturdy vehicle, as the road can be rough in places. After Mahe, follow the road signs to Hanle, which will lead you through scenic landscapes and smaller villages. Fuel up before you leave Leh, as there are limited fuel stations along the route.
