Car
If you are driving from Leh, take the Leh-Manali Highway (NH 3) towards Hemis. The distance is approximately 45 kilometers. Follow the highway for about 30 kilometers until you reach the sign for Hemis. Take the left turn onto the road leading towards Hemis. Continue on this road for about 15 kilometers until you see the Hemis Monastery Museum on your right. There is ample parking available near the museum.
Public Bus
From Leh, head to the local bus station located near the main market. Look for buses heading to Hemis, which typically leave every hour. The journey will take about 1 to 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at the Hemis bus stop, the museum is a short 10-minute walk from the bus stop. Just follow the signs pointing towards the Hemis Monastery, and you will find the museum adjacent to it.
Taxi
You can hire a taxi from Leh to Hemis. The drive will take about 45 minutes. Simply tell the driver you want to go to the Hemis Monastery Museum. Taxis are available throughout Leh, and it is advisable to negotiate the fare before starting your journey. The taxi will drop you off right at the entrance of the museum.
