If you are driving from Leh, head north on NH 1D towards Diskit. The drive takes about 4-5 hours. After crossing Diskit Monastery, continue on the road for about 7 km until you reach Hundar. The sand dunes will be on your right. There are signs pointing the way, and you can park your car at designated spots near the dunes.

From Leh, you can take a public bus headed towards Nubra Valley. The bus leaves from the Leh Bus Stand and costs around ₹500. The journey will take approximately 6-7 hours.
