Car
From Leh, drive towards the town of Nimmoo via the Leh-Srinagar Highway (NH 1D). The distance is approximately 60 km, and the drive will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you to Nimmoo. The Indus & Zanskar River Sangam is located near the village of Nimmoo, where the two rivers meet. Once you reach Nimmoo, you can find parking areas near the viewpoint.
Public Transportation
From Leh, you can take a shared taxi or a local bus to Nimmoo. Shared taxis can be found at the Leh taxi stand, and they depart when full. The fare is typically around 500-700 INR per person. The journey will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Alternatively, you can check local buses heading towards Srinagar; some may stop at or near Nimmoo. Ensure to ask the bus driver or conductor to drop you off at the Sangam.
Local Transport (within Nimmoo)
Once you arrive in Nimmoo, you may need to walk or hire a local vehicle (like a tuk-tuk) to reach the exact spot of the Indus & Zanskar River Sangam. The cost for a local vehicle should be negotiated, but expect to pay around 100-200 INR for a short ride to the viewpoint.
