Car
If you are driving from Leh, head west on the Leh-Srinagar Highway (NH 1D) for about 50 kilometers. Look for the signpost for Likir Gompa, which is located just off the highway. Turn left onto the road leading to Likir village, and follow this road for about 5 kilometers until you reach the monastery. There is parking available near the entrance.
Public Transportation
From Leh, take a shared taxi or local bus towards Saspol. Ask the driver to drop you off at Likir village. The journey takes about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Likir village, the monastery is a short 15-minute walk uphill. Follow the signs towards Likir Gompa, and you will reach the entrance of the monastery.
Private Taxi
Hire a private taxi from Leh for a more comfortable journey. Inform the driver to take you to Likir Gompa. The drive will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. The driver will drop you off at the base of the monastery, where you can start your ascent to the gompa.
