Car
From Leh, head southwest on the Leh-Kargil Road (NH 1D) towards Phyang. After approximately 15 km, you'll reach the village of Phyang. Look for signs indicating Phyang Monastery. The monastery is located on a hilltop, so you may need to park your car at the base and walk up the path leading to the monastery entrance.
Public Transportation
From Leh, take a shared taxi or local bus heading towards Kargil or the nearby villages. Ask the driver to drop you off at Phyang village. The journey will take about 30 to 40 minutes. Once you arrive in Phyang, you can walk to the monastery. It's a short uphill walk from the village center; just follow the signs towards Phyang Monastery.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, hire a private taxi from Leh. Negotiate the fare beforehand. The taxi will take you directly to Phyang Monastery. This option is more comfortable and can accommodate your schedule better. The round trip should cost around INR 800 to 1200 depending on your negotiation skills.
