Walking
From the center of Leh (Leh Main Market), head south towards the Leh Palace. Once you reach the palace, take the road leading to Choglamsar. Continue walking straight for about 3 km until you reach the junction. Here, turn left towards Phyang village. Follow the road for another 2.5 km, and you will see signage for Phyang Monastery. The monastery is located on a hilltop, so you may need to climb a few steps to reach the entrance.

Rent a bicycle from a local shop in Leh. Start from Leh Main Market, heading south towards Leh Palace. Once you pass the palace, continue along the road towards Choglamsar for about 3 km. At the junction, turn left towards Phyang village. Keep cycling for an additional 2.5 km; you will see signs directing you to Phyang Monastery. The last bit involves a slight uphill, but the ride is scenic and enjoyable!

Public Transport (Bus)
Head to the local bus stand in Leh, located near the Main Market. Look for a bus heading towards Phyang or Choglamsar. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the Phyang village stop. From there, it’s a short 15-minute walk uphill to the monastery. Follow the signs, and you will reach Phyang Monastery in no time.

At the Leh Main Market, find a shared taxi heading towards Phyang. These taxis usually wait until they are full, so it may take a little time. The taxi will drop you off near the entrance of Phyang village. From there, it’s a 15-minute uphill walk to the monastery. Follow the path, and you will see the monastery ahead as you approach.
