Start from McLeod Ganj and head southwest on Bhagsu Nag Road towards the main square. Turn right onto the Dharamshala - McLeod Ganj Road (NH 503) and continue for about 10 km. Follow the signs for Kangra Fort and the Archaeological Museum. The museum is located at Old Kangra, Kangra, Himachal Pradesh 176001. There is parking available near the museum, but be prepared for a small fee for parking.

From McLeod Ganj, walk to the main bus stand located on the main road. Take a local bus heading towards Kangra. The fare is approximately โน30-โน50 depending on the bus service. The bus ride will take about 30-40 minutes. Get off at the bus stop for Kangra Fort, and you can either walk or take a rickshaw (around โน50) to the Archaeological Museum, which is nearby.
