Getting There

• Walking

  If you're starting from the central area of Pondicherry, head towards the Aurobindo Ashram on Rue de la Marine. From the Ashram, walk down Rue de la Marine until you reach the intersection with Perumal Koil Street. Turn right onto Perumal Koil Street, and walk straight for about 500 meters. The Bharathidasan Memorial will be on your left at 108, Perumal Koil Street. It is a short and pleasant walk, approximately 10-15 minutes.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from a nearby rental shop. Start from the Aurobindo Ashram and cycle down Rue de la Marine. After reaching the intersection with Perumal Koil Street, turn right and continue cycling straight for around 500 meters. The Bharathidasan Memorial will be on your left. The ride should take about 5-10 minutes, depending on your speed.

• Auto-rickshaw

  To reach the Bharathidasan Memorial via auto-rickshaw, find a nearby auto stand or hail one from the street. Tell the driver to take you to 'Bharathidasan Memorial at 108, Perumal Koil Street.' The ride should be brief, around 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Ensure you have a small amount of cash to pay the driver upon arrival.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  You can take a local bus that runs along the main routes in Pondicherry. Look for a bus that goes toward Heritage Town or specifically asks the conductor for the bus that stops near Perumal Koil Street. Once you get off, walk a short distance towards Perumal Koil Street (about 200 meters) until you reach the memorial at 108, Perumal Koil Street.
