Getting There

Walking
Start from Police Bazar, a central location in Shillong. Head towards the main road (GS Road) and take a left at the traffic light. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 km until you reach the NEHU (North Eastern Hill University) entrance. Once you reach the entrance, walk inside the university campus. Follow the main path through the university for about 1 km until you see signs directing you to Waterfall. The waterfall is located a short walk from the main path. Look for a small trail leading downwards towards the waterfall.

From Police Bazar, locate the local bus stand. Take a bus heading towards NEHU; buses typically display their destination on the front. The fare is quite affordable. Get down at the NEHU bus stop. After disembarking, enter the NEHU campus through the main gate. Walk straight along the main road for about 1 km, following the signs to the waterfall. You may need to ask locals for directions if unsure.

Auto Rickshaw
At any main junction like Police Bazar or Shillong Center, you can find auto rickshaws. Hire an auto rickshaw and tell the driver you want to go to NEHU. They will drop you off at the entrance of the university. After getting off, walk straight into the campus and follow the main path for about 1 km towards the waterfall. It’s a popular spot, so locals can also guide you if you need help.
