Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. From Gangtok, take the NH10 road towards Mangan. After approximately 4 kilometers, look for signs directing you to Bakthang Waterfall. Take a left turn onto a smaller road that leads directly to the waterfall parking area. There is no direct entry fee to the waterfall, but parking may incur a nominal fee, usually around ₹50.
Public Transportation
To reach Bakthang Waterfall using public transportation, you can take a shared taxi or a local bus from the main taxi stand in Gangtok. Look for shared taxis heading towards Mangan or those specifically labeled for Bakthang Waterfall. The fare should be around ₹30-₹50 per person. Request the driver to drop you off at Bakthang Waterfall. It's about a 15-minute ride from Gangtok. Upon arrival, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the waterfall itself.
Walking
If you're already close to Bakthang Waterfall, you can simply walk from nearby locations. Follow the well-marked trails or roads leading to the waterfall. Ensure you have appropriate footwear as the paths can be uneven. The waterfall is well-known, so locals can also guide you if needed.
