Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Varanasi Railway Station, exit the station and head towards the main road (Station Road). Turn left onto Station Road and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rajendra Prasad Ghat. From there, follow Rajendra Prasad Ghat along the riverbank for about 2 kilometers until you reach the Dashashwamedh Ghat. At Dashashwamedh Ghat, follow the signs towards Bankat. The Nandi statue is located near the intersection of Bankat Road and the main path leading to the Ghat.

    If you are near Kashi Vishwanath Temple, exit the temple and head east towards the main street. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Bankat Road. Turn left onto Bankat Road and walk straight for another 500 meters. You will find the Nandi statue on your right, just off the main path.

    From the famous Manikarnika Ghat, walk north towards the main road (B1 Road). Turn right onto B1 Road and walk straight for about 1.5 kilometers. Look for the signs directing you to the Nandi statue as you near Bankat. The statue will be visible from the road on your left side.
