    Begin your journey by finding the nearest bus stop in Carmel. You can use the IndyGo bus service, which connects Carmel to Indianapolis. Take the Route 66 bus, which will take you directly to downtown Indianapolis. Stay on the bus for approximately 30-40 minutes until you arrive at the 'Washington St & Capitol Ave' stop. From there, walk southwest on Washington St for 2 blocks (about a 5-minute walk) until you reach the Indiana Statehouse at 200 W Washington St.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental stations in Carmel. Start by heading south on the Monon Trail, a popular biking path. Continue on the Monon Trail until you reach 116th St, then turn left (east) until you reach College Ave. Take a right (south) on College Ave and continue until you reach Washington St. Finally, turn left (east) onto Washington St, and the Indiana Statehouse will be on your right after a short ride.

    If you are up for a walk, start from the Carmel Arts and Design District. Head south on Main St until you reach 3rd Ave NW, then turn left. Continue on 3rd Ave NW until you reach the Monon Trail. Follow the trail south until you reach the intersection with 116th St. Cross over to College Ave and head south. Once you reach Washington St, turn left, and after approximately 0.7 miles, you will arrive at the Indiana Statehouse.
