If you are driving from any location in East Central Indiana, you will want to use a navigation app for precise directions. The Herron–Morton Place Historic District is located at 1902 Alabama St, Indianapolis, IN 46202. From Interstate 70, take the exit for Illinois St (Exit 83A) and head south. Continue on Illinois St for about 1.5 miles, then turn right onto 19th St. After about 0.2 miles, turn left onto Alabama St. The historic district will be on your right. Parking may be available on the street, but be sure to check for any parking restrictions.

For those using public transportation, you can take a bus to reach Herron–Morton Place. Check the IndyGo bus service for routes that connect to downtown Indianapolis. A common route is to take Bus 8 from the East Central Indiana area to the downtown hub. From downtown, transfer to Bus 18, which will take you close to the Herron–Morton area. Get off at the stop near Alabama St and 20th St, then walk about 0.3 miles south on Alabama St to reach 1902 Alabama St. Be sure to have a valid bus pass; a single ride costs $1.75.
