  If you're driving from anywhere in West Central Indiana, take I-70 E towards Indianapolis. Follow I-70 E for about 30 miles until you reach the exit for I-65 S toward Louisville. Merge onto I-65 S and continue for about 5 miles. Take exit 113A for Washington St. toward downtown Indianapolis. After exiting, turn left onto Washington St. and continue for about 0.5 miles. Turn right onto West St. and then a quick left onto W. 11th St. After another 0.5 miles, turn right onto N. Central Ave. and follow it until you reach the Central Canal Aqueduct, located at 39.7983709 latitude and -86.1772091 longitude. There is street parking available nearby, which may incur a fee depending on the time of day.

  To reach Central Canal Aqueduct using public transportation, start by locating the nearest public transit stop in your area. You can use the IndyGo bus service. Find a bus route that takes you toward downtown Indianapolis. A common route is the Route 8 - Washington Street, which will take you directly to Washington St. in downtown. Once you arrive at the Washington St. stop, walk west on Washington St. for about 0.5 miles until you reach Central Ave. Turn left on Central Ave. and proceed until you reach the Aqueduct.
