To reach the Nicholas J. Melas Centennial Fountain at 400 N McClurg Ct, Chicago, IL 60611 from Gary, Indiana, start by taking the South Shore Line train from the Gary Metro Center. Board the train heading towards Chicago, and enjoy the scenic ride for about 50 minutes until you arrive at the Millennium Station in downtown Chicago. Once you exit the train station, head north on Michigan Avenue for about 0.5 miles. Turn left onto E Wacker Dr, and continue walking until you reach N McClurg Ct. The fountain will be located on your right, just a short walk away.

If you prefer to take a bus, you can catch the Gary Public Transportation Corporation (GPTC) bus number 10 from the Gary Metro Center. Ride the bus until you reach the South Shore Line station in East Chicago, then transfer to the South Shore Line train heading towards Chicago. After approximately 50 minutes, get off at Millennium Station. From there, walk north along Michigan Avenue for about 0.5 miles, turn left onto E Wacker Dr, and then right onto N McClurg Ct. The Nicholas J. Melas Centennial Fountain will be on your right.
