Getting There

• Public Transit - Bus

  If you are near the Indianapolis Cultural Trail or any central downtown location, look for a bus stop for the IndyGo public transit system. Take the Route 8 or Route 18 bus towards the 'Government Center' stop. Once you get off, walk west on Washington Street for about 5 minutes. You will see the Indiana Statehouse at 200 W Washington St on your left.

• Walking

  If you are staying in a hotel or an area downtown, you can easily walk to the Indiana Statehouse. Start at the nearest main street, such as Meridian St or Illinois St, and head west towards Washington St. Once you reach Washington St, turn left and walk for about 10 minutes. The Indiana Statehouse will be on your left at 200 W Washington St.

• Bicycle

  Indianapolis has a bike-share program called Pacers Bikeshare. Locate a nearby bikeshare station and rent a bike. Head towards the downtown area on the streets, following bike lanes when available. Ride west on Washington Street until you reach the Indiana Statehouse at 200 W Washington St. There is a bike rack available for parking your bike.

• Rideshare

  Use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft. Input '200 W Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46204' as your destination in the app. Your driver will navigate to the Indiana Statehouse, which is located in the Mile Square area of downtown Indianapolis. The drop-off point will be directly in front of the Statehouse.
