Starting from the Michigan City train station, head east on 10th St toward Franklin St. Turn right onto Franklin St and then take a left onto 5th St. Continue straight until you reach Lake Shore Dr, where you can turn right. Follow Lake Shore Dr for about 1 mile, and you will see Washington Park Beach on your left at 6 On the Lake.

From the Michigan City train station, you can catch the local bus service (Route 1) heading towards the central area. Get off at the stop near Franklin St and 8th St. Walk south on Franklin St to Wabash St, then turn left on Wabash St. Continue until you reach 8th St, then turn left again and head straight to Lake Shore Dr. You will arrive at Washington Park Beach at 6 On the Lake in about 10-15 minutes.
